Desired Outcome

To create a fun, engaging and memorable presentation that would promote audience participation for the "All-Toon" Cartoon Network Trade show booth.

Actions and Tactics

Interactive Personalities teamed up with Heritage Exhibits to melt the winter ice with this sizzling concept. A specially created 3D animation of "Pete the Penguin" was designed to interact with audience members on a one to one basis.

Audience members were "Tooned-Up" (given their very own animated head) to talk with Pete. "Tooning-up" is a specialty of Interactive Personalities. It enables the audience to participate and see themselves on a large projection screen while an entire audience watched them. The technology required wearing a unique headset with a magnetic sensor. The animated head magically appeared on the body of the audience member as they and Pete carried on a candid conversation; they even sang songs together. "Get Tooned-up with Pete the Penguin" introduced Pete as an affable and friendly mascot for the All-Toon Cartoon Network. Pete encouraged the audience to feel comfortable and curious. A large part of the fun was "Tooning-up" the audience members as they spoke with Pete. As an added benefit, each conversation was taped on VHS for the attendees to take home as a souvenier of the trade show that would not soon be forgotten.

Outcomes Fulfilled

A very large and boisterous crowd was completely captivated and entertained by the affable host, Pete. The enjoyment of the crowd instantly drew more audience and propelled them into the booth. The interviewees were thrilled to walk away with souvenir copies of their "toon head" tapes, while the client was overjoyed with the results.
